From these payments, the court can have them paid to your attorney for remaining attorney’s fees. Our normal fee pre-filing for a chapter 13 is $1,000 and payments of $100 a month for 36 months. The upfront cost of a chapter 13 is roughly half of the upfront costs of a chapter 7.
