Why we cost more

Some bankruptcy attorneys charge significantly less than we do. This one advertises a bankruptcy for $600. Why do our prices seem so much higher?

Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Firstly, we quote you an all included prices. So if we give you a price, it includes costs such as the filing fee, credit counseling and credit report. If you are price shopping, ask what the quoted fee includes.

Secondly, we only do bankruptcy and other debt related issues. We concentrate on keeping abreast of the fast changing world of bankruptcy and debt collection law, nothing else. We don’t do family law or anything else. We also don’t shy away from more difficult cases. If a chapter 13 bankruptcy is your best option, we will recommend it. Going to an attorney who only does chapter 7 bankruptcies is like going to a car dealer who only shows you red cars.

Third, we’ve been doing bankruptcies for a long time. I filed my for my first client in 2003 and have been doing it since. I didn’t start filing bankruptcies just because of the recession. I’ve been filing bankruptcies in up-economies as well as down-markets.

Lastly, we have staff. If you call us during normal business hours, someone will answer your call and help you. If you have a legal question, one of the attorneys will be available to answer your questions. If you have a 341 hearing (Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Big Island), an attorney from this office will attend the hearing. You don’t have to worry about some other attorney “covering” for the attorney you hired. Neighbor island clients will meet with an attorney before filing. Can a budget bankruptcy attorney offer you this level of service?

Why do we charge more? Because it is worth it.
