Every bankruptcy case has a 341 meeting (also called a trustee meeting). This meeting give the trustee and creditors (if any choose to attend) an opportunity to question a debtor under oath. Most of the time, no creditors show up and the trustee runs through their normal set of questions; you are done within 10 minuets. If your case is more complex or if you have “aggressive” creditors (like an ex), the meeting can go longer. If you file with us, we will provide you with a list of questions typically ask and warn you if we expect anything out of the ordinary. Additionally, an attorney from our office will attend the hearing with you.
341 meetings are held at the following locations:
Oahu: 1132 Bishop St. Suite 606. Park at Alii Place (1099 Alakea) or the Honda dealership on Beretania and Alakea for the cheapest parking.
Maui (Includes Molokai and Lanai): Walter Cameron Center, 95 Mahalani Street, just before the Maui Memorial Hospital. Meetings room is by the lower parking lot, towards the back.
Kauai: New Kauai Judiciary Complex, 3970 Kaana St. It is located by the airport, by the Police Station. Go through the metal detectors and turn right. The conference room is by the pictures of the judges.
Big Island (Hilo and Kona side): State Office Building, 75 Aupuni Street (not the new courthouse, the former courthouse). Remember to bring change to feed the meter. All Big Island 341 meetings are held in Hilo.
