Molokai and Lanai

We have filed bankruptcy for client on Molokai and Lanai. The bankruptcy themselves were uneventful, but they did require some special handling.

The main issue with Molokai and Lanai filing is the fact that we do not normally travel to those islands. We go at least once a month to Hilo, Kona, Maui and Kauai. The Molokai clients actually came to our Oahu office while they were on trips here. The Lanai client met us during one of our Maui trips. The other information was gathered by mail, email and fax.

The other main issue is there are no 341 meetings on Molokai or Lanai. The court will normally set Molokai and Lanai client 341 meetings for Maui, although they can be also set for Oahu; clients have told me that it is easier to get a flight to Oahu from Molokai or Lanai than to get to Maui.
